Project DENKIDO
June 2020
The project DENKIDO started in June 2020. The initial concept phase was set up to evaluate and optimize the outside appearance, all technical features and the ergonomics. I decided to build a fully functional concept vehicle with a wooden frame. The vehicle was made in my workshop and 6 plywood plates were used to create the frame.
December 2020
I leveraged this vehicle to do dealer visits in Austria, talked to potential customers and learned a lot about the eBike industry and the sales organizations. Based on these learnings I turned the project on green light: The design of the Prototype stage 1 vehicle started in December 2020. I still have a classic drawing board from my good old times as a young engineer. So I drafted and designed DENKIDO with a pencil on my drawing board.
July 2021
I assembled the first prototype stage 1 vehicle in July 2021. The prototype stage 1 vehicle was used intensively for testing. Various rider groups gave their feedback on many thousand kilometers. This feedback was input to the design of the prototype stage 2 vehicles. Their testing started in May 2022 and is ongoing.
EUROBIKE 2022
Eurobike 2022, we’re coming! We are very happy to be part of the Eurobike 2022 in Frankfurt from July 13th to July 17th and present our DENKIDO to the public. We are keen to have discussions with potential customer and sales partner.
